Or bath puff, if you wanna call it that.  I hate the way the commercial ones fall apart and basically suck.

I found the pattern over on Rav and whipped this up in the surg waiting room yesterday.  It's crocheted out of one skein of Sugar 'n Cream, and it's SO soft!

What a great idea.  I wish I knew how to crochet since I need a new one of those.

Wow, looks like fun. I never would have thought to make one of those myself!

Maybe it'll entice me to start using one...

So does everyone in my house!  That's why I made that one.  I've started a 2nd one just before dinner, and I'll be making several more.

I love this! I really want to make one now. Heck I really want to make a lot. Can you imagine making a bunch in different colors and having like a fish bowl in the bathroom with them in it and that way everyone could "pick a poof" for their bath time! Cool....I'm a do it..... Tongue Thanks for the link.

I've made two!  I am making them for Christmas, unless the girls find my stash and we have them sooner!  They are fun to make...
Just a question.. do yours have the hole in the middle still, or did I do something wrong?

Yes, it still has the hole in the middle.  It doesn't show unless you separate all of the ruffles.

This is great!  I'm kinda of a newbie when it comes to crochet, but I think it looks doable!  Thanks for the link to the pattern Smiley

I found out by accident.. if you use a smaller hook, put 30 loops, and then 6 DC on each one, you can make a kid sized poof!   Grin

Oh man! Looks like I'll be making another trip to the store so the kiddos can have them now. I'm almost done crocheting my produce bag, this is #2 on the list to crochet. I love creating with a useful purpose! Cheesy

I made one while watching a movie tonight!! SUCH an easy and quick project! This one is for the Hubster. I am headed out to get more yarn to make me one tomorrow! His matches our bathroom perfectly. Hubster has not seen it yet-he fell asleep during the movie. Roll Eyes

Thanks for the pattern! I LOVE IT!

I really really really like this.  I may actually give it a try, I bet it is softer than the commercial ones as well, and it has the bonus of being washable.  I gave you a this rocks!

It would be fantastic if one would make one out of microfiber yarn. I know that Lion Brand had a pretty good one. Microfiber is an exfolient and would work wonderfully, however be careful using it on your face. You don't realize because of the softness that you are almost scrubbing your face off!

I've made small square ones out of the microfiber yarn, but I think your puff would be awesome!

saw this and I thought "what the hell, I have to replace those cheapo store ones every few months, and this one would be machine washable, so I gave it a shot.  I have black sugar n cream, I can do this!"  made it last night, and it looks so pretty!  Thanks!

Thanks for the pattern! ^_^

Btw, is it heavy in the shower?  Like how some yarn texture fabrics seems really damp/heavier when wet?  This may be a really stupid question, but I'z curious.  Grin

I made one a year or so ago and used baby yarn. Recently, I made one with sugar and cream cotton yarn, it was heavy and did not sud like the one I made with baby yarn. I plan to make several for Christmas gift for co-workers. This is the pattern I followed, I will use the same pattern with baby yarn.
Below is a link to the pattern I like to use.
