Ohh I can't wait to start this! I bought the pattern a few months ago and have no idea what to knit it up with! ...I should start it now but I have sooo many other projects in the works. (not really any knitting ones tho.) I've never done cables or a hoodie....OR even a sweater at that...And the halter I was working on wasnt coming out to be the right amount of stitches (even tho when I work on a flat-not round-piece I'm usually right on.)

Should I start it anyway? ... hmmmm.... I bet if I start now it'll be ready for the winter after next lol.

I've never made a sweater before either, but I loved the pattern too much to not make it.  The cables are rather advanced, at least, for me they were, as I had never really made anything cabled before.  Shocked
Before I even bought the pattern, I made a swatch of one of her free cable patterns and sort of learned how to do the complicated increases, though it took a few tries before I actually got it.  Then, after I bought the pattern, I did a bit of one of the sleeves and understood it even more.
haha.. I also asked a lot of questions.
Once you figure out what kind of yarn you want, I say go for it!
Reading this KAL and the one on the Knitty board has helped TONS.

Yet another question..
On some of the cable charts, it says to "Make 1 purl stitch on RS of work."
Well, I made a purl stitch on the RS, but I guess I did the wrong kind of increase.  It untwisted the previous knit stitch and now there's a hole there.
I'm just wondering what kind of purl increase I really need to do.
I think I was doing the M1L/M1F purl increase.   Huh

I'm not familiar with this particular pattern (though it's definitely made my to-do list), but I've found that a good way of making a seamless increase on a cable pattern is to knit (or purl) into the stitch below the row you're working on.

Does that make sense?

No questions this time!  Just a photo of my progress. Smiley
Last night I attached the pocket.  I can tell this is going to be an exceedingly comfortable pullover.  The Wool of the Andes is so soft.

Digital cameras are so strange..  The color of the yarn is pretty accurate, but the color of the carpet is not at all.  That carpet is actually a really nice dusty blue color.  weird

I LOVE the color you chose for Rogue!! Keep us posted on your progress.
Bought the pattern last night, but I still have to finish my first sweater:-)

that's a really nice color. Smiley

I don't think I've seen a photo of a finished one done as a cardigan, so it would be interesting to see yours when you've got more done.
