Your hats look great. I love mine, but i have to admit, I look like a total dork in it! The 2 lovelies pictured in the book both have bangs, and i think that would help. Also I have big black glasses, which I think does not help. I still wear it all the time because its super cozy.

I used some Lamb's Pride worsted weight, Blue Blood Red or something. I love that yarn. And I love my circular needle which is really shiny, and slick and fast. It seemed really expensive when i bought it, but it has been worth it.

I think this is also a great learning project for picking up stithces which I think is a really cool technique - intimidating at first, but really pretty simple to do.

I will try to post a photo someday soon, of me in all my dorkilicious glory!

jennymama, I have to say that as a gal with bangs, I hate wearing hats!  I hate when they get smashed down and dirty looking from the hat!  I'm sure you look great in your hat!

I was less worried about picking up stitches (it never occurred to me that I hadn't done it before!) than I was of the dpns.  I'm totally over my fear of dpns!  In fact, I love them and don't know why I was ever so afraid!  I think the i-cord was the most frustrating to me because it took me waaaay longer than it should have to understand that you don't *turn* the work.

I want to make this! Problem is I'm still getting the just-beyond-basics down and some of the instructions aren't super-clear yet.
