im working on a similar pattern (the pattern i saw was with red white and blue and it was a baby blanket) but it doesnt have the sc row between the diamond shapes..

im using the bernat bamboo yarn (loved how soft it was!) but its gonna be big! and im already done my "in-between" projects while working on it (i have ADD.. gotta put it down for a bit and work on something else)

seeing urs gives me hope for mine! maybe ill work on it some more tonight lol

Love your afghan by the way. So if i want to make one i just crochet the length i want? It said to crochet 16 plus 2 i know that would not be a big enough afghan. Help please. thanks

It looks great, your baba will be delighted with it.  I love that ripple pattern.

Cowladycc - it's MULTIPLES of 16 stitches plus two.  So you could do, say, 160 stitches plus 2 = 162 stitches.  It's because the pattern repeats every 16 stitches.  Does that make sense?
