I made a diaper bag and come to find out it is a little too long of a strap for my liking.  I could just change it to where I want it, but when my daughter starts going to daycare my aunt will be using it and she might want the strap longer.  Does anyone know where I can get a silver metal strap adjuster?  They have an anchor and them a piece that you put the fabric through to adjust the length of the strap...

I believe this is what I need, but I wonder if they come with instruction on how to attach.  Because I thought that you would need and anchor piece and this slider...

You could use 2 "D" or "O" rings sewn to the end of one strap and thread another strap through to set the length you want.  Meeting strap ends "end to end" pick up ring end and thread the other strap through both rings from underneath to the top.  Turn the threading strap back over and thread between the rings.  Pull snug and your strap won't slip.  I am sure someone else could explain the threading a lot better than I have done!  =)

So - I'm not 100% sure on how to explain how to put one on - you only need to sew one end to the middle bar and the rest of the strap is sort of weaved through the two holes. If you take a look at your bra strap you should be able to figure out what I am talking about. I tried to search instructions but didn't find any.

I just bought some plastic ones from www.strapworks.com for real cheap. They also have metal ones & all kinds of other hardware for bag making. Shipping was fast.
