So my son is in a band that is finally starting to do local gigs (Lubbock, TX).  He was wanting some sweatbands to shoot out at the audience while singing their "80's revamped" songs.  Well, I ordered in 6 dozen of the colors he requested, BUT being a crafting mom--they couldn't go unembellished.  The band's name is Lesbian Breakfast (yes, don't ask how) and one of their most popular songs has a theme about having a "heart on", well, wearing a locket around your neck, hence the embellishments I chose.  Here are the pics:

I just stitched out the wording on 5/8" ribbon, cut and sealed the ends.  Attached the ribbon with a couple of hand stitches and hot glued the heart on top of the ribbon.

Well done! How do you seal the ends of the ribbons?

I'd love to know what kind of response they get from the crowd. I bet they'll LOVE them!

Cheesy Lesbian Breakfast? I think thats worse than my brother and sisters old band Yakooza Drag Queens.

Those wristbands are amazing. You are an awesome mom.
