What does the door look like?  Does it have panels on it, if so then you could try painting the panels some fun color like pink or purple (red is kinda hard to paint on walls and make it look good, it shows flaws, but any color you want).  If it doesn't have panels, you could still paint them on there to make it look like it does.  Or you could get a cool curtain or shower curtain (as I prefer) and staple it to the top of your door to make it look like the curtain is the door instead.  You could make a ribbon "curtain" and hang in in front of your door to jazz it up a bit.  You could also get a few cool colors of paint and make colorful hand prints that overlap all over (But you may have to do one color then let that dry before making another(could take time)).

Please send me a message if any of this helps!

My old door was purple with yellow swirly flowers stamped on it. You could do something like that with the colors from your room. Base coat it whichever color you want, then take the other color, sponge it onto the stamp with a cosmetics sponge or other sponge with small pores, then stamp it on the door. You can find really cool stamps (I recommend the big chunky foam ones) at any craft store, even the dollar store probably. You can also make your own stamps by taking a picture or graphic that you like, upping the contrast all the way, then switching it to black and white like you're making a stencil, and use that as the template for your foam (you can use old meat trays, or old flip flops if the image will fit, or just a few sheets of craft foam).

Decoupage it! Wink  I love decoupage...so I am bias.  The options are endless though Smiley
Criss cross ribbons diagonal over the entire door... then it's colorful, and a memo holder/photo board!
Cover it in CDs... AOL CDs are such a waste, but great for decor! Wink
Playing cards, fur, paint, pressed flowers, game boards... lots of things to "attach" for funkiness.

How about something similar to what I have done to one of my walls. Put song lyrics, pictures of u, your fave pics from magazines, random stickers you like (If you do i would suggest sticking them onto paper before you put them on the door to avoid long term sticking to the door), litle sequined or beaded things you have made.

You will probably think this idea is totally stupid in which i am going to hide myself in a dark corner somewhere lol!!!
