This took me longer than most projects i do (i.e , longer than a day lol) but i think the time spent was worth it cos im pretty pleased how neat and carefully thought out its turned out! ( unlike most of my rather scruffy garments ). The photos arnt all too clear, but you get the idea !

the top layer is a broider anglais (whatever its called) second hand thing, which i had to take appart. It was white and rather seethrough as very thin fabric. Gave the dress a lovely texture! i had to plan it out as wasnt much of it, and all i had left when id finished was tiny scraps. very satisfying  Cheesy

I then used a sheet from local jumble sale to line it with. rather complex for my liking but with patience it did work! the lining is a couple of inches shorter than top layer.

I then dyed the whole lot when i had finished, useing 'olive green' but it ended up lovely apple green colour. i just love green. the dye was the only thing i had to buy for this.

theres a zip up the back, kinda neatly done too i must say!

basically im so proud of this dress and its perfect for wearing either casual summer dress or smartern up with jewelery.

Oh i forgot to mention the best thing!! the hem is zig zag , using the edge of the fabric it was like that. was a bit of a pain cos usually i made a dress too long and hem it last thing when i know how long i want it. but couldnt do that.

It fits really beautifully. I like the lacy bottom, and color. It's simple dress, which I like, but if you wanted to jazz it up I'm sure that would work too. Great job!

GORGEOUS colour!

That dress is amazing - such a great cut on you, and that top fabric is so pretty.  I love that you used a bedsheet and thrifted materials.
