I'm hooked on making these polymer birds!  The cord is made from different fibers twisted together and then oversewn using a zigzag stitch.  I think it looks very 'earthy'.  It's autumn down here in New Zealand right now, hence the fall colors.  The ends of the cord are buried (glued) inside the glass bead on the brown one, as it's long enough to go over your head, but there's a silver clasp on the other one because the cord is shorter.

I love these too! I thought the ribbon was the perfect cord but  now I am loving this fiber cord!

I absolutely Love these!   I would wear one everyday...a little green or blue birdy would be beautiful too. Smiley
