love2teach- I love the crocheted single-celled organisms. The other ones are cute, too! Is the black and blue one a virus? Actually, both of the ones in that picture look like viruses...pretty cute!!

Thanks everyone for the complements on the critters.  I had loads of fun trying to figure out how to make them look semi-realistic.

craftADDchick, yes the blue and black one is a virus. Please excuse the poor coloring of the photo I am posting, but I used the cheap camera I had in my classroom.  The colors in xiphigirlie are far more accurate.

The DNA molecule is in the back.  The blue and black one is a virus.  The one with the black cilia is a paramecium.  The one with the grey tail is a euglena and the tan one hanging off the table is a nerve cell.  I made one for my classroom and now when my students get on my nerves I pull it out and tell them to leave my last nerve alone.  love2teach

I love the virus! All the knitted items are great, but I have a soft spot for viruses. Wait...that sounds wrong. Great job though Smiley

Those are wonderful. The virus is my favorite. It is just so cuddly, I want to hug it! Hmmmm....
Nice work.

I love the plushies, they are so cute.

Everybody's packages have been awesome.  Makes me super nervous about my own package.
