I was looking around the house for some of my mom's old cookbooks and I found a pretty neat dessert cookbook that looks as if it came right out of the 70's. The Book is called "Desserts Cookbook" and it's by Kitchen Fare. That's all the information I have on it.  There's no copyright date. Anywho, I found the most amazing recipe for a "Blueberry Torte".  Try it out and tell me what you think.  It's very simple.

Blueberry Torte

16 graham crackers, crushed
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter

Mix and pat into 8-inch square pan.

Filling

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs

Cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and pour can of blueberry pie filling over top. Refrigerate. Garnish servings with whipped cream. Serves 6.

Sounds easy and tasty. I will have to try this the next time I go to a potluck. Much easier than a blueberry cheesecake!  Thanks Smiley

I can't wait to make this! I think I can even get some of my guy friends to make this, without burning down my kitchen.
