Eugepae! (hooray in latin) I'm so happy/surprised people are still replying to this topic!
And about the question people are asking:
I wasn't so sure either how much fabric the shirring would take in, but I just guessed and added about 5 or 6 inches in width to the front piece of the shirt.  That worked fine, but it actually doesn't really matter so much.  The shirring elastic is really soft and expandable, I could have probably added anything from 3 inches to 8 inches.

Please post your projects! I would love to see everyone's creative uses of shirring Smiley
