My mum brought me a beautiful purple sheet from a jumble sale., so i chopped it up of course! also dyed some of it with blue dye so looks bluish-purple. The dye was reaally out of date and i didnt leave it on long enough so dont know what will happen when i try washing this lol.  dyed it by folding and pouring dye at one end and up the folds. The colours are awsome, just rather brighter than anything i usually wear! Construction is just 6 pannels, with 3 metal buttons (and a 4th button on the inside) to fasten it.  now what shall i make with the rest of the purple sheet?

Turned out great!  I need to learn to make wrap skirts.

With the rest of the fabric I vote for a purse or a head scarf thingy.  Wink

That's one groovy skirt.  I love everything about it from the colours to the lines to the buttons you chose.  Well done!

thankyou Smiley
i would mention if your thinking of making one i had to add 2 little extra darts at the waistband in the back, to stop it gaping over the bum. but easy to do still.

I figured there must have been darts.  It hangs too nicely to be dartless.
