Yayyyy!  I'm glad you like them.  And yep, the erin part is made of shrinky dink material.  I bought some this past christmas to make wine charms and I absolutely love the stuff.   this was soooo much fun to do!  argh, I'm a craft swap addict!

oh, that ring is amazing! i had thought about making one of them for this swap, but i wasn't sure how to do the actual ring. how did you do it? and what do the little metal heart beads on the earrings look like? they almost look like little sacred hearts.

Thank you for all the compliments!  I must confess though, I followed the directions in the Dec/Jan issue of Bust...here some simplified directions:

1.  wrap a length of wire (~8 inches) around your finger--i found it more helpful to use a circular shapped object to help retain the shape (i used the handle end of a rolling pin). 

2.  Take about a foot length of wire and wrap it around the now-circular ring base--you'll want to start where the loose ends of the wire are so you can wrap them up (no poking that way).  I pushed the wire together with my pliers. 

3.  Leave a very small "hole" in the ring base--the smaller the better because then you're beads will stand up straight when you attach them.

4.  Cut about 2-3 inch long peices of wire.  Curl the end over so the beads don't slip off (this website has some great tips on how to make headpins: http://www.beadworksboston.com/tips-techs.htm)

5.  Slide beads onto headpins and attach to sides of "hole".  I found it easiest to place the bigger beads first and then fill in with the smaller beads.

Easy Peasy!

As for the heart beads--they were just little hearts with a wavy design through the middle and then little bubbles around the outside.  Cheesy, yet cute (at least i thougth so!)

P.S.  forgot to add that as i went along, i kept reshaping the ring base on the rolling pin, thats how it came out so circular.

So . . . I took photos of the great jewelry krazigal made me only to realize that I have a scanner.  This got me thinking . . . I can either wait until I get my film developed (takes me FOREVER) or I can try to scan the goodies. I went with scanning the goodies.  It worked pretty well although might I add that scanning a ring is awfully hard to do.  The heart in the picture is the ring Krazigal made me.  I LOVE red. . . . . thanks again, Erin.

an awesome purse with polkadots, cute little bobby pins (you'll see why i found the bobby pins amusing when you get yours!),  a black yarn rose (for a choker? it works well as a bracelet too!), a black pleather choker with grommets and ribbon though it (also makes a great bracelet too! and i've been eyeing that stuff at walmart for months!) and an awesome cuff with such a cute little buckle and cherries!
