hey all! i angeled for instantkarma in the OTT17 and after taking its time to get to her, her package finally arrived!  i couldn't have hand picked someone easier to craft a tiny thing for. she has SOOOO much in common with my DH who so coveted the gift bag the tiny thing was in!

her questionnaire said she'd really love a pair of crochet hoop earrings, so i did just that but added a twist. i checked her profile and found out she posted a few 'geek' inspired projects of her own so i added  . . .  dice! my poor hubby was confused when he came home to find me drilling into his precious dice. And being i didn't have a box small enough to send them in i wanted to protect them in shipping so i made a giftbag and by that i mean dice bag *cough, cough*  to put them in (it was a snug fit so they wouldn't move!) the hoops themselves are almost 3"

so now that you read my novel . . . onto the pic!

comments appreciated! I should mention that jewelery is NOT my forte! this was a first attempt at it so be gentle with criticism

How do you do that?  I crochet so I don't really need a pattern per se, just an idea of how to start?  thanks!!  These are great!

oh my GOD, these are amazing. I'd looove to show off some dice so freakin' fashionably! Seriously. Geek chic. Fierce. This is much more elegant than most geek jewelry... love it. The crochet really adds interest, too.

they're nice.

i got into crocheting earrings a few weeks back and haven't looked back since. it's annoying to get the end and beginning strings tucked away but i am now obsessed and use anything from jewellery wire to embroidery thread and yarn to make mine.
