This was another pair of my granddaughters shorts. I guess I just can't stand to let her get big Undecided.
The purse has a nice big pocket on the inside, purple lining and bamboo handles from Joanns.

I like this.  I've made several attempts at using old jeans or shorts for purses with no luck.  How do you cut the legs/croutch area so that the purse is striaght at the bottom?  Mine always has a bulge.

Oh, I love it!
What a great idea. I have some old things I could do this with.
Your stripey material is extra great though.

Tiel, I just kind of eyeball  Shocked it. Try cutting just under the zipper, just far enough to have a seam allowance. Them you shouldn't have too much of a bulge. If you look at the pic, mine isn't totally straight, either. This is the 3rd one I've made. I'm keeping this one for myself. Helps me remember when Savannah was small. Smiley. I'm quite proud of this one. The more I make, the better they come out. The handles were on sale at Joann's for 2 bucks a pair.
Got to go. I've got another one to make for a friend of Savannahs.
Thanks for the comments.
