Oh my god, you're good. I always wanted to sew, but can't seem to figure out how to make clothes. What is a flat-feld seam? How long did it take to make this dress?

Like someone said that dress is well umm, Smurfy! I really like it and am horribly jealous of your sheet find, not I need to either a) beat up small children and steal their bedding or b) scour the thrift stores..

Oh yea, and good job on not using a pattern! I bow to your skills...  Shocked  Grin

Your dress is awesome!!!  Shocked I love it, I'm green with envy too.  Tongue

Oh, and if I had the courage (too scared of needles) I would get a tatoo of my beloved ferret Sydney (rip) too.

What is a flat-feld seam?

Does that explain it? It's basically a really nice touch to a boring seam and it also is really functional since it hides all the seam allowances up nice without serging or pinking the edges.

The fact that you made this dress with no pattern shows just how creative AND patient you are. I think its awesome, and the pictures are great too! They look like they came out of a freakin magazine!
Good work!!!

Thanks! My little bro took those pics. We make a great team! Grin

There! Hopefully all my pics will work now. Stupid villagephoto.... grrrr Angry learned my lesson, though.

Anyway, I hope ya'll like my dress and akward attempt at a tutorial.

Let me know if the flat-feld seam instructions are confusing and I'll try to clarify as best I can.
