Here's a dress that I made from a bedsheet that I found at the Goodwill. Super comfy and soft, very unique print, and way cheap (I think I only paid $1 for a twin-sized bed's worth of fabric!)

Thanks! I actually made it up as I went along (the main reason for the assymetrical zipper! Grin)
Basically, I just made panels and sewed them together with a flat-feld seam (cuz I don't have an overlock machine and I didn't want the fabric to unravel in the wash). It was intended to be strapless but- as I said- I didn't work from a pattern and I found that I needed the support of the straps to hold the top of the dress up!

sallysparks-- once again, I'm hijacking about the tat... It is beautifully done, and wonderful placement... Mine are also memorials.

That settles it, I'm starting a tattoo thread!

The fact that you made this dress with no pattern shows just how creative AND patient you are. I think its awesome, and the pictures are great too! They look like they came out of a freakin magazine!
Good work!!!
