These are some of the results of my first craft swap : Fairytales, fairies and folklore.

I checked out my partners Wist and lol and behold, there were these little Snow White and the seven dwarves figurines made out of polymer clay. "Hey, I can knock them off" I said  Tongue. I even had the right colours.

These are a knock-off of these, which are a knock-off of wooden figurines! lol

Then I wanted some little extras so I fiddled around and came up with Little Red Riding Hood (which I really need to recreate for myself!), the big bad wolf, Snow White's apple, the white rabbit and Alice. The largest is about 15mm(1/2 inch).

Then I remembered Fidget's fantastic pill box idea and set off to make a mushroom..

The top is a foil armerature covered in scrap clay then covered in hand-rolled snakes. There is a scrap clay base to seal the bottom and the scrap is covered with more snakes. A mix of red shades, gold, white, translucent, beige, brown.

And it's filled with tiny toadstools.

I was really pleased with the result and my partner sure seems happy to  Grin. Comments welcome.

Now I'm off to fill up Craftster with some more swap goodie posts...  Cheesy

When I saw the pic of Snow White and the Dwarfs, I thought that was a pic of what you copied from...then I got it and saw the original, and I really think you did a fantastic job! So cute and whimsical. My favorite part is the bit of crookedness on the green hat.  Smiley *rocks*

Adorable!  Love the 7 dwarves...they remind me a lot of those tiny figures I used to see in the Hearthsong catalog.

I also really like that you make a container for tiny toadstools... very cute idea.

lol! I stumbled apon one on the sculpey kit things that you can make mary, joseph, baby jesus and a sheep in the bargain bin for like $4.00, and the rest were thoughtful gifts from the DH for Christmas. I wanted "A lick of Frost" and clay, and I got them!

The mushroom was really quite easy to make, it just took a while. I fully plan to make more since I fell in love with this one so I will document the next one and post a tute.

That little mushroom container is great! I like the way you spiraled the clay and gave the project depth and texture. Keep it up!
