Is there a name for this game? You get a list of things to find, and each thing gives you a certain amount of points. For instance: carrot 10 points, Barbie doll 30 points. It's not exactly a treasure hunt. Help?

Are you thinking of the game "Scavenger hunt"? Kids usually do this at parties. They are given a list of items and they go door to door in their neighborhood asking for the items?

probably, thanks!! I teach English in Sweden, and here we call it "pongjakt" (= hunting for points). It's more about receiving the points than finding the actual objects. Smiley

its the same with scavenger hunts. often you only have a limited amount of time and you can't find everything so you have to prioritise- ie: it might be faster to find one 30 point item than three 10 point items. they can also involve activities- you get points for every activity you complete. actually, it might be a fun way of teaching english- a word hunt perhaps? of course it would probably depend a lot on the age and ability of the people you are teaching.
