***Here's 2 new ones I made.***

The first is brown linen, and the interior has 2 pockets and aqua blue lining:

The second is brown corduroy with a hot pink interior:

I don't know which is my favorite, I love them both!  Thanks for looking and let me know what ya'll think!

I want to first THANK thejordy for her most awesome tutorial.  I was ready to give up purse making, I had bought a few patterns and it did not go so well.  Then I found her tutorial, it was explained so well, and now I'm hooked!  I've made 3 so far:

This is the first.  Turned out ok, but I should have used interfacing.  The lining is also inside out, because I didn't have it put together right before I flipped it inside out.  Duh! Roll Eyes

This is the second.  I should have used thicker interfacing, because the bag is a little floppy, but at least the lining is right this time!

Third try is definitely a charm.  The fabric was a thick canvas, so no need for interfacing.  And I got fancy and added not 1 but 2 pockets inside out of the gingham fabric from the outside.  I feel like it could use an applique or trim, but I haven't decided what. Huh

Thanks for looking and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Cute. #3 could use a big fat red rose or other flower.

I just bought the fabric you used on the first one, it's beautiful!!  The third one (the plaid) is screaming for some sort of daisy patch or applique....

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

That mum fabric was on the clearance table for $2.  Quite a steal, I should've bought more! Smiley

I have that mum fabric as well! I bought all that they had left (about 3 yards) I'm currently working on making a sundress out of it and a matching bag will be next.
It's absolutely beautiful and I love what you did with it!

A sundress sounds so cute!!!  I'd love to try clothes, but my sewing skills are not the best yet!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Smiley

That would make lovely sundress. w/ matching purse, too cute. There are some very simple dress patterns. Or you could try a vest. Not much fab. Not very big pieces, but horror, buttonholes. Walmart and other stores have pregathered fab just put a seam in the back.
