I am a librarian at Marion Public Library.  We already do some crafty programming, and one of my co-workers has built quite a nice knitting group.  She, I, and the knitters are thinking about hosting a regional knit-out and/or fiber festival here at our library, possibly sometime next February.  I am putting out feelers to see what kind of interest this might generate.  If you are interested or have any ideas, we'd love to hear from you!

Well i would be interested if the place (library) is not that far away from me, and if i actally do come i might bring some other freinds or someone, but sicne it is a fiber "festival" would there be fiber and items and other things (like spinning wheels and roving and such and of course yarn) on sale as well?
also when you say marion public library, which one do you mean? there are alot of libraries in the marion county and such.

Actually Marion (city) is in Grant County, which is about an hour and a half northeast of Indianapolis.  Muncie, Anderson, and Kokomo are all within 45 minutes of here, if that gives you a general idea.

As for vendors, we discussed having a few, but aren't entirely sure about the details yet.  If that is something that would attract people, I will definitely push for it.
