Is this still happening? I'd love to join, especially if this is later in the summer!

the point is that craftsters are generally not traditional crafters... as in the stereotypical image of an old lady knitting a teacosy or something... Wink

I'm still really interested in this swap, but I'm afraid the timing will be wrong. Le sigh...

Hi everybody!!

I'm so glad there is so much interest, and sorry it's taken so long to do something about it!!

Well, things are a bit of a chaos here because my husband has been offered a job in Sweden (my home country) and we're planning on moving in August! I've lived in England for 11 years now so it's a huge change, and I think a lovely tea party swap would be a very befitting way to celebrate my time here. BUT it's hard to find the time to get it started between trying to find a new home and sorting out the practicalities!! Would anybody want to take over, or would you mind waiting a bit longer?  Huh Roll Eyes

By the way, my thought on the ironic tea cozy thing is whether you do it with a 'twist', like update it or make it quirky or kitch. I like traditional too actually. I thought it would be nice to get to choose preference (if any) what you like to make / receive.

I dont know if youve been following but Sweden kicked butt in the UEFA Euro 2008.

I would be willing to wait.. seeing as how Im booked up until the end of July for 2 swaps..
or I could just join in on the next round..

I dont know.. everything is being modernized so I didnt really see it as "ironic". Someone out there needs a tea cozy and whether or not its updated, kitch or traditional.. they need it. you know? Granny crafts can be fun too!

I sort of see it as a modern tea cosy is ironic, you know, and we're modern crafters Wink haha

but anyway, if this is later I probably won't partake because I'll be back at school and I'm sure I won't have time, but I'll be excited to check out what everyone makes Smiley

I'm not experienced enough to take over, but I really hope someone else can (or that you'll get it organized later). This seems like a really nifty swap and I'd definitely be in--I've been so obsessed with tea parties lately.  Grin
