I'd love to be part of one of these swaps.

But I'm about to sign up for my very first one.! If sign ups are still going on for this one after I get my feedback from my first swap I'd definitely be up for it.!

I would be interested in this swap depending on the number of cards that we send out. The swap I'm in was ten; the one before that was twenty. I feel like ten is a good number, but sending five or even one was suggested for the next PostSecret swap.

ten or five sound like a good number.
I don't think I'd want to do more than ten really because it would end with me not being able to put as much time and effort into each one.

I am totally in for another round of PS Swap. I'm disappointed everytime that I go to the mail pox and I don't have secrets waiting for me. I think 5 or 10 is a good amount. I like getting lots of them, but I don't have many more secrets than 10 cards worth.

I wouldn't mind organizing if I could keep it on the small side (5 cards each, 25 swappers). I'd like to be organizer only though. I'm still tying up a few loose ends with round 4.

At first I thought I only wanted to do 5 cards. Now I don't think that's enough. I wrote down about 30 secrets last night. Lips sealed Maybe I can send to 2 people(:

Doesn't matter, I'm up for 5 or 10, or ...30. Whatever floats the organizer's boat. Roll Eyes

It was fun!  I'd like to do it again... if we only do 5 secrets, then count me in for round 6 lol.  Ten sounds like a good max to me though.

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

I won't have time to participate in another swap, but the only thing that bothered me about the last round was that almost all secrets were posted within a very short time period, which means that there could be like 10 or more new secrets every day. That meant many got "lost" in the shear volume of secrets. Maybe it would be better to spread out the sending of the secrets, so that they would be appearing over a longer period of time?

Or maybe I was the only one who was a bit sad that so many secrets were ignored because people just discussed one in a batch of ten..?

Good point, they did kind of lump together - i mailed all of mine last swap within two days of each other... we should stagger the mailings

I think 10 cards is perfect.  I like JulieBoolie's idea though if you make it 5 cards sign for two spots.  Or maybe since so many people are interested, run round 6 and 7 simultaneously with one doing 5 cards and the other doing 10.

I'd love to join as well! I'm another one that missed signups for the last round. I would prefer 10 cards, 5 seems like not that many. If whoever organizes needs a co-organizer (since there seems to be a lot of interest in this swap), I'd be willing to help.  Smiley

I can do a small one if no one else is volunteering. I definitely can't do a big one with 10 cards each though Sad I'm getting married July 25th,  so I would like to have it mostly done by then, and round 4 is still not done (even though signups started Feb 29th!). But like someone else mentioned, theres nothing wrong with having Round 5 and Round 6 going on at the same time if someone wants to organize a bigger one Smiley

Chiming in as yet another craftster who missed sign-ups for the last one and would love to participate in the next.  I'd also like to cast my vote for sending 10 cards each (or more!) - I have five cards finished already and ideas for a dozen more.

Change of plans... I won't be able to organize Sad After thinking about it, I barely have time now with wedding stuff and other family stuff so this would probably be a bad time for me. I'd be happy to answer questions for future organizers though!

MAYBE i could organize.....how do they set this up anyways? Give me the details and I might do it

Ok Grin There have been variations, so I'll explain how round 4 was done. I should also note I had an AWESOME co-organizer that was a great help to me (and kept me on my toes).

  • Last postsecret swap had 40 members. Each member made 10 cards each. The 40 members were divided into groups of 10 (we'll call them A, B, C, and D.)
  • Each person was given a secret code to write on the backs of the cards. When a swapper receives a card in the mail, they will pm the code to the organizer and co-organizer.
The organizer needs to be able to:
  • Track who is in each group and who they will be sending to
  • Give everyone their own "code" and track how many times codes are received
  • Send each swapper the addresses of the people they will be mailing their cards to
  • Make sure everyone sends in proof that their cards were mailed
  • Work with the co-organizer to make sure the information is being tracked correctly
  • Follow up with posters to make sure they are sending you the codes when cards are posted in the gallery

Tracking all the codes makes it trickier than a normal swap. It was my crash course in first time swap organizing  Tongue
