I did this with traditional piecing, next time I am going to do paper piecing because there are SOOO many spots where you have to get everything just so.

some of you made a collage of pics of your blocks all together so you could see how they would look together. how did you do that?

I do my photo web hosting through flickr...  I made my collage through www.bighugelabs.com...  they're connected to flickr.  Check em out if you have a flickr acct.  =)

I think everyone did an amazing job but I choose too loud of fabrics ;P  This was kind of an experiment because I hadn't ever worked with such large and loud prints and I think it's a bit noisy.  I'm going to work up one more block and then sash it with a pink and make it into a baby quilt ;P

wow! I super like your quilt so far, Marie. The black pops out from the others, but I think when you add the sashing it will be faaaaantastic. I never had baby quilts that cute when I was a baby. *jealous*

I received lots of beautiful squares this weekend. I am going to scurry off to take pictures of them all together right now. (Even though it is quite dreary here.

I won't be signing up for the next quilt swap, I have run quite behind on this one. I'm hoping to have all the squares finished and sent soon, but they aren't done yet. With the flooding here, I have had to help out lots of family. Many of the houses were total losses, but some weren't. We were trying to save a few things that mean a lot, so I know you all understand why I had to put the squares off a bit. I will be getting them out as soon as I can though.

Anyway, I would like to make a suggestion for the next swap, it wouldn't need to be in the rules, but it's really nice. I am receiving these wonderful squares and there aren't notes in them like there are when we send out the fabric ( which is fine, I don't expect a note,) but if all it has on the envelope is the return address it can sort of be hard to figure out who sent the package. I love how ajanderson78 (and others who sent earlier) put on the envelope, either with their return address or on the back, their username. It just makes it a lot easier to send pms to the organizers and such, who you've received from. Just a thought.
