I love the card trick blocks!!   and yes Flashley Ashley and I are doing a personal swap..   I sent her some of my orange stash as orange has become my new and totally unexpected obsession. 

Sew Amy your blocks are so pretty together!!!   I loved your choice of fabrics.  I am so excited to be getting mine, because I think I will make a big quilt with 24 blocks using both swaps!  It is so hard to wait!

I wanted to let everyone know that I will be away from my house for the next couple of days so I will not be getting my mail.  I will have computer access so will keep up with everyone else receiving!

That would totally bite being away from home during the prime time to get packages from this and the postage stamp swap.  But just think of the number of lovely goodies you'll have waiting for you when you get home.

aww what fun! I'm madly working on the last squares and they will all be sent out *gulp* tomorrow. Lame.... oh well! They're on the way soon I promise! Damn getting sick after chiropracter appointments.

It seems that this is the time for vacations...  I'm leaving tomorrow and will not return until the 12th.  I will have minimal internet access so I can still check the boards and stuff(I know, none of you ever know I'm here but I do keep up on the threads and chit chat... just not much of a talker I guess).  I also won't be home to receive packages, but hubby will be here so hopefully he won't just toss them on my desk and forget to tell me about them...

Yes Ajanderson, I wanted to know what pattern you used for your first block posted.

I had to ask my landlady where she got it from (it's great having someone to borrow tools and patterns from!!).

it's a really good pattern because it gives explicit instruction, even telling you which way to press the seams.  Now, obviously I didn't do the corner squares in the "background" fabric.  I didn't have enough so I used what I had and I think it gave the block an interesting look.
