I'm meeting Athenamat for lunch tomorrow and figured I should hustle and get her block done so I could save the postage  Wink

I used 'Kansas Troubles Variation' from quilterscache. The pattern looked a little frumpy online, but I had faith that her fabrics would liven it up. I really love these fabrics; I think her finished quilt is going to ruuuule.

That block turned out great!  She is going to have such a pretty quilt with such great fabric and cool blocks.  It is also very cool that you get to meet for lunch and hand over the block.  Automatic new crafty friend!

Time to make more quilt blocks!

You can no longer tell, but this block is a horrible poofy mess.  Hooray for ironing.  That'll teach me to try to sew diagonals... Sorry, FlashleyAshley!

oooooh Thanate I love it! I'm such a sucker for symmetry and this block satisfies my love of it Smiley I really like it. No apologies needed!!

And I wholeheartedly agree that sewing diagonals sucks. I don't know why I continue to do it!

Good morning all!

I am just checking in while I wait for Sean's gpa to be ready and drop me off at the station.

Yeah!!  I love my block and am excited to pick it up.  You used the small pink piece too (woot!).  I am having serious craftster withdrawls but I did get an apt! So this was a successful trip.  And now I get to buy some fabric?  What more could I want? Smiley

Here are two blocks I made out of my own fabric to see what they would look like.  I haven't squared them up yet.  The first one was inspired by a picture I saw somewhere that I can't remember and the second one is called Box Quilt from quilterscache.  The second one was my first attempt ever at triangles.  They didn't end up with points like they are supposed to, but at least they are all the same! Wink
