I've finished it!!!!!!  It's so not perfect but I love it just the same.  It'll be a gift for my mom... 



I prefer a fatter, puffier quilt so I'll just add ties later.  I used two layers of batting for extra puff.  My mom's always cold so this should keep her a bit warmer. 



I figure tying in the middle of each block should do nicely.  My great grandmother was a quilter and always tied her quilts with yarn.  After a few washings the ties were just small balls of puff that were always a comfort to fiddle with while snuggled up.

glittergirl94 your quilt is amazing.  The front is incredible.  Crazy, I know, but I think I may be more impressed with the back.  I always take so much time piecing the front and never really gave much thought to the back.  The binding and back show you really gave that extra thought to it.  I'll do a better back on my next quilt, thanks to you.  Great work!

if anyone is interested, my quilt using these fabrics has a pic up in the 12 Days swap gallery (my partner was fiberartsy)

her bf is also a dolphins fan, so i decided to use the wonderful blocks i got in this swap for a gift for him...

I was trying new block patterns for this swap, so  I made myself one out of my fabric as a "tester block" each time I tried a new pattern.  Since it is (past) time to put away the snowman quilt, I pulled out my blocks from this swap.  I counted them and had 15.  My husband thought that the 3x4 snowman quilt was not big enough so I decided to make myself 5 more blocks.  Here are four of them:






This one is made of all of the little strips that were leftover, and people sent back.  Just started sewing together any that were at least 3.5 inches long. 


One more to go, just need to pick a pattern that will work with the little bit of scraps that I have left.
