Hi, I've been knitting on this sweater for over a year now. I finally picked it back up and had it finished within two weeks. It's like knitting a sweater in no time at all, except it was a really long time.

The pattern: Enid IK
The Yarn: Reynolds Whiskey
The needles: US 4 addi turbos
The mods: I changed the yoke pattern to my own ring pattern. I also added a zipper instead of a button band. More pics on my blog: http://knithole.blogspot.com

Wow! I'm so impressed, that looks great and not homemade at all! I'm very jealous of your knitting skills.

It's great. I can imagine it would take a year, it'd probably take me about the same time. It's wonderful though.

I clicked on your blog and saw that picture of you cutting it for the zipper. So scary! Is that usually how people do zippers?

This pattern called for a steek. I don't think you have to do it that way. But it's a nice way to knit a cardigan since you are knitting in the round you don't ever have to purl. I really enjoyed this and will eventually try another similar pattern, maybe one with bigger needles!

Thanks all for your nice comments. Even though this took me over a year to make, my actual knitting time on it was just a couple months. The endless knitting St st on size 4 needles in dark brown made me a bit crazy and I put it a way for a year. It's definitely one I had to come back to but I'm sure glad I did.  Wink
