recently where i work we were given a stock of old x-stitch patterns, one was a book of gnome stitches, and this was one.  There were three others.  If you are interested I could prob take a pic of the book or scan it.  They are super cute, prob made in the 80's it looked like.

OMG OMG OMG  David the Gnome!!! Shocked

I was OBSESSED with this gnome, with the cartoon and the books when I was little.  I still remember, the show used to be on in the mornings before school, and I watched the last episode where David and his wife died and turned into trees, and I sobbed and sobbed and was so distressed that my mum had a time of it getting me to school that day.  Oh, I had a little "life-size" (about 2 inches tall) rubber David that I played with in the garden all the time, we'd have adventures in the trees and flowers and ohhhh.... I loved him.

Jeez, I just had some serious flashbacks   Roll Eyes

Aaanyway, sorry about that.... I love this x-stitch, it's beautiful.  I am always impressed when people have the patience for cross stitch.  Nice work   Grin

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
