So I made a couple shirts over winter break. Here's two of them. I get cold in winter, so I don't wear short sleeve shirts. So I wanted to reconstruct some tee shirts into long sleeve shirts. here's the first one:

a baseball-style tee made from an old tee shirt of my brother's (I'd actually reconstructed it once already and didn't like it that much, so I re-reconstructed it), and the blue parts came from... another old tee shirt of my brother's. It says "Platypus Software" and there's a platypus on it!

it looks a little weird/asymmetrical in the pic. I think it was wrinkled or something. I assure you it is not, it's just that I had low batteries in my camera when I took the pic so I could only take one.

here's the second:

a tee shirt hoodie. made, again, from one of  my brother's old tee shirts . The yellow stuff came from a shirt I found in a friend's attic (yeah I am a packrat). The 17 on the sleeve was originally on the front left part of the shirt.

here it is with the hood up.

I was thinking about adding a kangaroo pocket in the same yellow, but then i decided not to. what do you think?

They're both nice, but I REALLY like the second one.  Any chance for a tutorial on it?

i adore the platypus.  the second one is really sleek looking, i don't think it needs a kanga pocket.

those are so cool looking! that seems like it would be quite difficult. I don't think you should put a pocket on either, it's quite spiffy without one

Hey, that's awsome. Nice work. how did you make the sleeves on the platypus recon? I can't find a tutorial on ragland style sleeves anywhere.

o yes...a tutorial for the hoodie would be awesome! was it hard? and as for the pocket maybe you can pin it to the hoodie before sewing to be sure you want it...or so you know what it looks like

Yeah I second the request for a pattern on the hoodie. I really love it what a great idea! I dig the use of old shirts, I haven't done any t-shirt reconstructions yet but you have inspired me!
