Hi all, I posted her in the Poppet Along, but she was disappointed that she didn't have her own post.  So, I thought I better put this on so she stops pouting...(at least that is what my daughter told me...lol)
My daughter named her Gabriella.  Gabby for short, since they will be gabbing buddies.  She's done entirely by hand....body, hair, clothes...etc.
Hope you like her.
P.s. the one with her and the basket, is her wanting her picture with the Easter Bunny.

Thanks for letting me share her with you.

I saw her on the poppet along, but I just love her.  The colors make her seem so magical somehow.

She is so pretty and seems to shimmer.

I can't believe she is entirely hand sewn - you are FAR more patient than I!  Great job!

Thanks for the comments.  She does seem to just shine.  From the inside out.  My daughter took her to school for show and tell on friday, and every kid in her class wanted to hold her.  She definately is getting a lot of love.
Gabby took me about 2 weeks to finish, just working on her after supper.  I really wasn't as bad as I first though she would be.  And to be honest, I had to do her by hand, because I didn't follow the instructions from Ghile.  I printed out the pattern peices, thought it looked easy enough, and tried it on the machine...of course, my machine tried to eat her tummy,  so, I had to cut out new peices and start all over.  I did learn my lesson and go out and buy freezer paper, the next one shouldn't take nearly as long.

Hint about the next one: Earth Goddess Wiccan poppet for my best friend.

shes super adorable! you did such a good job! I don't think I could ever make a poppet by hand, I don't have anywhere near the amount of patience it would take. Also I love the dress and now want one in my size.

That dress was the easiest thing I've ever ever made.  Just a plain old rectangle.  Top folded over to put elastic in, and I hemmed the bottom as I sewed on the lace.  Then simply used lace over the arms and attached with snaps.  TA DA...lol  It would be simple to make for yourself.
