oooook... if anyone has an interest in this (a few of ya on the brainstorming thread) I'm putting one up.

I finally decided on a Keith Haring piece to start with ...then I plan on doing maybe a Warhol or a Lichtenstein I cant decide yet... I'm such a pop art freak and I love to many if i don't pick ill be stitchin' for years to come lol

Lets see those beautiful stitches! Break out the needle and thread and honor those beautiful crazy artists of the pop revolution  Grin

Ill post my progress in a few days when I can get a camera from the neighbor

cant wait to see everyones work

I thought I'd share one I did last year.

It's based on Warhol's Lips but it doesn't resemble it that much. I use it as a colour chart for when I'm sewing portrait pieces, it helps me choose the right lip colour.

Like the lips.  I was thinking about a Roy Lichtenstein.  Might be kinda tough but his paintings I think it will translate well to stitches.

Oh hellz, I was so thinking Roy Lichtenstein too. But now I'm kinda leaning towards Jasper Johns... I've only done teeny tiny itty bitty projects, so I think it's time for something big. I just hope it doesn't go the way of my 7 year long crochet blanket project... I kind of did something that could maybe be considered pop-art-esque for a friend about two years ago, and since I'm too noob to load it, here's a link... http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=360552&ppuser=219291
