Another wierd hon??

Hi, everyone!!
this is so cool to be able to converse with fellow Marylanders. I live in Baltimore, and I love crafting in my free time (which unfortunately is next to none, but still!!) Probably many of you saw the article in the Baltimore Sun a few weeks back about crafting, and I know I was so excited to see that Craftster.org was mentioned. Leah, if you read this, congratulations on getting your site in the paper, and I love your site!!

I hope some of you guys can assist me on this wonderful website, as I have some questions: First, how do I get my own icon? I have some pics in my "My pictures" folder, but how do I transfer one to this site?

I appreciate the help, and I hope you all have fun on craftster.org!!

EccentricOne:   I just figured out to have my own icon (called an "avatar", as I also recently learned)

I use photobucket.com, as recommended by another Craftster, and it works wonders!  It's free, to boot!  Simply create your album (I called mine "personal pics") and upload your image from the folder.  Then they'll give you the image URL (you want to use the URL, they give you three options), and then go to "profile", located at the top of the screen (next to home, help, search, notifications, and logout)..   in that area, you'll find a place to "upload your own image avatar" type thing...   simply copy and paste the code that photobucket gives you, and you're all set!

Just a note:  if you want to post pictures in the forums, you can also use photobucket.   But instead of using the URL link, you want to use the HTML code that they give you.  (It starts with [IMG ), and then simply copy and paste that into the lovely little yellow message box!
