I have some of that Christmas lighting that comes in a tubular cord...you know that stuff they use to line the aisles at movie theartres? My husband thought it would look cool in our apartment outlining either the cabinets or floors but it just looks so tacky. Is there anything else I can do with it, or turn it into? I was thinking maybe wrap it around a pole of PVC and have it be a lamp but he kind of frowned that idea away  Tongue (We don't celebrate holidays so using it for decorating isn't an option)

How abt making a wire form like a column decorating it then wrapping the lights around it?Or swagging it around the bedroom walls just under the ceilings -with candles it would be very romantic!

I saw a designer on HGTV build a light fixture (slash-wall-art) with Christmas lights by building a wooden box (think giant shadow box) with a frosted plexiglass cover.

It was pretty awesome, and I'm thinking about incorporating that into my bedroom design when we move.

Good luck!
