This is adorable Smiley  I wish I was so talented to quilt on scales like that Sad  I DO have some fabric with a pattern on it that LOOKS like scales Smiley  Maybe I can make a larger version of this with that fabric!

How big is it? And was it difficult at all?
It's not big really. It's 40 cm (15.7 inch) from head to tail fin and the body (the part with the scales) is 23 cm (9 inch) wide. I would recommend to make it a bit bigger, esp if you have a lot of stuff to carry around. Wink
I think it just requires a lot of planning (what to do in what order) and patience. Make one from scrap fabric first to try out the construction and you should be fine.


If I make another one, I'll take pictures of the frame and basic construction.
