Ain't nothing better in this world than a big veggie sandwich (eggplant, pickles, onions, lettuce, cucumber, everything you can think of) with some horseradish, mustard, and lots of cheese. Toast, and serve hot!

I like all sorts of sandwiches, but 2 classics stand out --

1.  Grilled cheese - sometimes the old-fashioned white bread/american cheese, sometimes more upscale cheeses and breads.  Any melted cheese/bread combo turn out great!

2.  BLT - but the bacon has to be really good, meaty bacon and the best tomatoes are home-grown or from a farmer's market.  A great add-on is avocado, making it a BLTA

My favorite sandwich is
smoked turkey with swiss or Gouda cheese with lettuce, tomato, and raspberry chipoltle, on homemade honey wheat bread.

A legend in her own mind...
