I have another thread here showing the Samara I made from poly clay.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=20978.0

Now I've gone and made another one with crochet. I didn't really want her to be bright pink, but it's what I had to work with.

I just looked at both your pictures and LOVE them! I will admit to you all that I can honestly say one of the biggest mistakes I ever made as a parent is letting my daughter watch "The Ring." We are huge horror movie fans and she begged me to see it so I previewed it and let her watch it. Now mind you I covered her little eyeballs in all the 'icky' parts but she drew Samara for WEEKS after seeing it. Oh, and what was she for Halloween this past year? That's right, Samara. This is all no big deal except that she was kind of...well...she was um...shewassevenwhenI letherwatchit..There, I said it and I'm glad it's out!!!

She knows that it's a huge sore spot with me so I will make sure to show her your crafts.

PS- please, no hate emails, I've already kicked myself enough for the whole planet.

Ah, it doesn't bother me. Smiley
I watched Evil Dead when I was 5 years old. Have been a horror fan ever since. I also got several horror books taken away from me by teachers in elementary school.  Cheesy

My 4 year old loves Evil Dead and snakes.  She wanted one for her birthday.  She gets to hold them at the pet store about every other day.  That is as close as it gets to coming home.lol.

Maybe I am stupid here, is there a part two to "the Ring"? or is this your second doll.

Well, it's my second Samara thingy. But there *is* a part two coming out in March of this year.  Grin
