This is amazing. Your hard work clearly shows. WOW!

I wanted a MM comforter but I cannot find one ANYWHERE! I think I may attempt this type of project in the upcoming summer!

Thank you diy sami & mintbamboo...I think the quilt used 16 or so different fabrics.

The squares don't have to be a solid color. That's what makes a smoother transition especially in the greys....most of the fabrics here had a pattern on them.

I've always wanted to do a 'watercolor' quilt...which is a good example of blending from one square to the next...I guess similar to this in some roundabout way.

Yowza! That looks great!  I bet you could make some mini "portrait" quilts with the same technique too. Keep up the awesome work!

Fantastic!  I had never thought about the cross stitch grid to quilt before, but my mind is going now!  I'm impressed. Grin

That turned out fantastic!!   Shocked
I've considered a similar treatment for quilts, but it seemed like a lot of graph-work.  And such tiny squares... But using Photoshop is a great idea *slaps forehead for not thinking of it myself*  Roll Eyes !!
I'll bet it was difficult to keep track of all the shades of squares...especially if you had to do it in such a high-traffic area (I can relate!)
