Hey All!  I was at school today (or as I like to call it work with no pay) and my client I got had a duct tape purse she had made and I was like "WHOAOAOSOOSOOAAAHHHHH is that a duct tape purse?" (because I'm from Minnesota and just figured people like this dont exsist here.. what I actually what i mean is, I never really run into people who make duct tape anything, outside of this site)  She was all like "yeah!"  and i was all like "dude"

ok.  So to make this incredibly long story short...

She opened it up and was like "yeah i just used a zip lock bag for the closure"  (just the lock part, not the whole bag)

I seriously never thought of that and was like praising her for her good deed.  So yeah, thats a great Idea I thought I would share... Duct Tape + Zip Lock = cheap clutch that closes all the way!

I gave her this website address and told her that she must come and lurk.  SO maybe she will.

MN Rox!!! Hehe, i'm from St. Paul. I never thought of that, I usually just use magnets, but you could also use a zipper I suppose, or wire ( make little hooks) i'll have to try it out anywho. I started a whole duct tape epidemic @ my school, I used to be the only duct tape obsessed person (oh, the good ol' days,) but now everyones making wallets and roses, and covering folders, and notebooks...

I know It was so weird to see someone who wasnt me with a duct tape purse... like... not that I think I am the only person out there that likes duct tape, But most people around here seem under educated in the duct tape department... har har.  And yes MN does rock! I think its funny how many people say they wanna leave, because it sucks so bad, but I love it here.  So much variety!!
Thats cool to meet another crafster member, from st paul none the less.  I am in Minneapolis like daily for school.  tired.  boink.

I can't understand why people leave either, my brothers both moved to florda when I was about 5, and a bunch of other family members & friends have moved away as well. Oh wellz, I live in St. Paul, but I go to school in Mpls. It was really weird though when I came to school one day and like 4 other kids in my classes were toteing duct tape purses, and had tapped duct tape roses on the end of their pens. Now everyones doing it. I suppose its okay though, but it is a tab bit hard on my wallet & roses buisness, ;-D.

Whoo..'Nother Minnesotan right here.  I'm duct tape wallet obsessed.  Anyhow, clever idea for a closure!  I really want to try that out now..

haha! that finding emo icon is so funny!
Ok, that said, as soon as I saw the title of this post, I was like:  "Oh, I know what would be cool!  Ziploc Bags!"  I want to meet this girl, as we are apparently mind-twins!  I have never made a duct tape bag... I don't really know why, I guess now I feel too "old" for the duct tape craze... I used to make wallets and rings.  I still sometimes make rings, actually! Smiley

And like a downward smoke, the slender stream
Along the cliff to fall and pause and fall did seem.
