Back in 2005 when I took part in the first OTT swap, there was quite a lively discussion on how to push the limits on the 'one tiny thing' rule for the swap Cheesy

Someone (I forget who Wink) asked if it's acceptable to package the 'one tiny thing' in a handcrafted trinket box.  As you might guess, the organizer said no Tongue

Yeah, it's really "just one item" so to speak.  Unless we're crafting things which are better off as pairs (such as earrings) or things which are in a set (e.g. a set of stitch markers...or a set of pins).

Tempting as it may be, no extras are allowed...so no candy (my personal favourite *sigh*), no yarn, no FQs, or whatever else you would usually throw in as an extra treat for your swap partners Tongue

Believe me, it's a lot harder to send 'just one item' than a box of goodies Wink  Then again, it also makes you try your darnest to impress your partner with your crafted item since you only get one shot (i.e. one item) Wink

If it's a set, can they be sent in a little drawstring bag? (purchased, if that makes a difference). That's what I usually do for stitch marker sets.  Just checking, since I don't know what I'm making yet Smiley

Tough call here, but I'm gonna have to say no Roll Eyes  Feel free to send your stitch markers (if you decide to make them) in a wee ziploc bag, wrap them in bubble wrap, etc.

If anyone's wondering if it's ok to make or buy a pincushion to send with a set of sewing pins, that would be a no-no as well  Wink

I'm really excited!

Are there any shrink plastic books, I thought I saw some around but there are none at my library. If there are any books are tehy worth buying?

Besides clip art where do you guys get images and things?

I don't know about the books, but I sometimes use coloring books as templates. Smiley
