I love how you're used doodles to fill out your spread

Okay. Now I'm really inspired! Not that I could create something as nice as your journals, but I've got to explore this soon.
Your printing with the white pen really makes all the colors stand out.

librarylover - I am happy that you are inspired! Don't compare yourself to me, or anyone -- whatever YOU create is an expression of who YOU are! It is YOUR journal, your art ...no rules, no wrong way of doing anything! Go for it! Grin

Those pages are really pretty.  I love the first one but then again....  anything inspired by music of ANY kind makes me happy.   Cheesy  And the orangy-doodle page is really cool too.

I find that I have the most problems with layering things onto pages.  I can get a background painted and then I get stuck.  I have some sharpie markers in my computer bag (I think).  I may have to get those out and see if I can make some pretty doodles on a page I've already painted.   Cheesy

Ffrogg526, thank you for all of your comments on my journal pages!

I understand that feeling of being 'stuck' -- we have all been there one time or another. The best advice I can offer is...just go for it. You can't do anything 'wrong'. It is only a page - you can paint over it, glue more paper over it, collage over it...and begin again! I find that the biggest obstacle people have is trying to make their work look like someone's work they admire rather than just being themselves. Your journal should be your sanctuary -- a place where you go to discover yourself artistically. A page you do today will look far different from the page you do a year from now...but you have to begin. Find something that inspires you --- a picture in a magazine, a quote, a favorite photo...or a song lyric...and let it take you where it will. There are NO RULES!

Pretty! Do you use acrylic paint for your journals?
I use acrylic for my journals and the pages stick together.  Huh
