ihearttrees: this is so stalkerish but i see your posts all over and i love EVERYTHING you make. i <3 you and your screen name!!!! =]

so are these pens in the pen section or the screenprinting ink/inkjet paper transfer section? just wondering so maybe i could save myself some hunting around at hobby lobby. hehe.

wow this is going to be my new love... i can tell! the slow screenprinting method of using an embroidery hoop and fabric and filling in the negative areas..whew....it is too painstaking for me to continue. thanks for this epiphany.  Grin Kiss

AHA! i found the picture...ok so first i must explain the history of this shirt....

My very good friend eric and i went to this townie biker bar here in athens, ohio called the smiling skull... it was a wednesday afternoon i believe and we started drinking pitchers of killians... on our third pitcher i just couldn't take it anymore- i HAD to go to the little girls room... so off i went and when i came back eric was gone from our table... but in his place i found a piece of paper with this drawing on it. Quite possibly the funniest thing i'd ever seen. So i promised eric that one day i would make it into a shirt. And here it is.. My "you broke the seal " shirt, an homage to erics artistry...
The shirt was made as i said earlier with the cheap make your own screen method... here's a link to a FABULOUS tutorial...http://www.livejournal.com/community/craftgrrl/3674467.html

oh.. and those are my baby girls marley (left) and houdini (right) yay for rats!
ok... i hope you all enjoy!

man, those pens are killer. michaels you say? too bad we have to support corporations even when crafting. but those prints really are far out. where did you find such nice silhouettes? or can you just turn any picture into a stencily looking thing?

Very impressive,

The cool part is that it doesn't sound all that difficult.

Is it like screenprinting ink on the shirt when ironed, or does it have the same plasticky feel like iron-on paper? Also, how does it hold up in the wash?
