Singing Flower

Its my daughters birthday tomorrow (happy 9th Birthday Maisie!!)  and i've been making her little things and had finished them all but last night i couldn't sit still after a solid week or so of crafting (in a craft swap too) so while waiting for my husband to finish his night shift i came up with the idea of a flower in a pot for her, so i cut it out and then hubby came home  so i asked my husband for some stiff wire to put in the stem...

Good thinking hubby said why not rip one of the dogs toys up haha as inside one of them (its a toy hamster actually i pick them up at charity shops for next to nothing) was a little singing mechanism!! so we put the mechanism in the flower pot and my husband made extra wire so we could put the touch pad into the flowers face!!!

Its fab if i say so myself and thank god for husbands they come in handy sometimes...




Oh unfortunately the song is everybody loves kungofoo dancing but beggars can't be choosers haha

Thats fabulous!  I would have *loved* something like that I was little ; )

Hubby's are very useful sometimes : )

That is really great. I must make some - although probably without the singing - I seem to be pathologically unable to keep plants alive!
