I don't think I posted these here when I painted them last January. I just repainted them last night and wanted to share the story of the Penguinified Converse with you all.

Anyway, I decided to paint penguins on the toes of my very first pair of Converse on a whim one night last January instead of studying.

I (and seemingly everyone else) loved them. They quickly became my favorite pair of shoes ever. As my favorite pair of shoes, they got worn a lot. They took me trips across the country, through dusty fields, to concerts, you name it.

They held up surprisingly well until just recently when I went to a really rough concert with my best friend. I let her wear them and they got a bit scuffed up when we were unwillingly caught in a mosh pit.

(This was us waiting to get in.)

Even though the damage wasn't all that bad, I decided they needed a little refreshing. I'm a bit picky when it comes to flaws. Lips sealed Besides, I had more studying to put off last night!

So after about a million cotton balls full of nail polish remover and a couple hours of painting, here they are again:

The rejuvenated Penguins are ready for more adventures!

Those are so cute and I love the color coordinated shoelaces!

They make me want to go buy a pair of Converse.  They were always the best shoes to decorate but my last pair died years and years ago.   Hmmmmm, yup, must find a new pair Smiley

They are adorable and full of character!  I love that you made each one a different color, the coordinated the laces for the shoe to the color of penguin.

These are awesome! I've been searching for the right kind of art/doodle to put on mine. They're nearly a year old and still no doodles! I just can't decide!
