T.A.R.D.I.S. girl

As Doctor who is finally back (although I'm sad torchwood is now over ) I thought i may as well make use of at least one of the many transfer sheets i have lying around...
So I made this, to add to the many other doctor who related things around here.
I got a lot of inspiration from http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=221566.0 by thearmyoftwo
and now i look at it, mine is quite similar, I wasn't intending to copy!
Anyway, pictures (sorry they are so big):

Usually I'd think that transfer sheets would be too thick to make a large icon on a T-shirt.
Is the TARDIS area thicker, or what kind of sheets did you use?

I find that transfers make fabric a bit crispy, is it not very stiff where the tardis is on the t-shirt? Is that very uncomfortable?

1. what paper did you use? that's so clear, the white and black both! it's wonderful. :3
2. does is get all ripped up from the stretchy parts? 'cos whenever i do an iron-on, if the shirt is ribby, the iron-on gets tears.

guess what? SciFi channel, April 18th, 19.30 and 22.00 or 23.00 (can't remember which)! they're starting series 4 on there, beginning with Voyage of the Damned.

Hey sorry i haven't replyed, just thought I would answer a few questions

Is the TARDIS area thicker, or what kind of sheets did you use? 

To be honest, it makes it only about a mm or two thicker which I really like!
I use these dark t-shirt transfer sheets from WHSmith

They made the fabric a tiny bit stiffer where the tardis is, but it wasn't noticable, and after the first wash it was much softer and more flexable

1. WHSmith dark t-shirt transfers, although I'm from England and I don't think they have WHSmith stores in the US
2. After a couple of washes it has got a little ripped on the stretchy parts, but it is only really noticable close up, but I no what you mean, and I think the tears on the transfer bit still make it look rather cool!
