Made these before Xmas but completely forgot to post.

Background is that I was offered a stall at a local craft fair (yay!) but told that they already had too many jewellers (boo!) so I had to come up with a quick craft and made these and a load of crocheted hats and scarves.

I used the tutorial here for the basic method: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ninacuneo/sets/1089577/
The full group:

Blurry devil:

Dog/bear/whatever:

Kitty:

Aliens:

Couple more closeups on my flickr

Bit disappointed that I didn't have time to make them more detailed as I think that might have made them cuter... or perhaps I just need more practice at drawing cute creatures.

Wowza! I think they're really cute just as they are. Sometimes details are overrated! (And this is coming from a detail person.) Smiley

Have you had the fair yet? Did they sell well?

Aw thanks guys! They're all around 6-7" tall.

As to the fair, yeah it was ok (weather was terrible and it clashed with another big event in town) - bizarrely the majority of people walked straight past without looking but those that did bought more than one at a time. Gotta love small kids who pick things up then cry if mommy or daddy won't buy them!!

Sold a few more at work and gifted some more (it was just before christmas) but did get a couple of commissions which was really fun. Watch this space for my first attempt at a 3D stuffie - a friend has requested one of the BBC 3 ident creatures http://www.tvradiobits.co.uk/idents/bbc3.htm *gulp*
