I had some leftover shiny dot fabric from a top I had made, so I made a bowtie for my cat Madison.

http://img140.exs.cx/img140/8650/madisonsbowtie9uc.jpg

I also made him a regular tie, again from scraps of fabric.

For those who requested it, here is the tutorial (click on thumbnail for the bigger version). Sorry it took so long. The measurements given are what I used for my cats tie. He is an Exotic (shorthaired Persian) so probably has a thicker neck than most cats.

those are so cute!  now I want to make some for all the cats I know!  and I love the second pic, he looks like he's glaring at you for putting it on him.  lol.

Those are adorable!!  And your cat just cracks me up.  He already looks like he has TONS of character, and the ties just add to it.  Although I have to say, he looks kinda creepy in the first pic.   Wink

Sometimes Cat Fancy magazine has photo contests... you should keep your eyes open for them and enter in your kitty and his tie.  I think it's a winning combination.

OMG, that is hilarious! Cheesy

One of my cats, Zelia, allows us to dress her up.  She just lays there like a slug. . . it's her only defense (to paraphrase the narrator from "A Christmas Story").  One of my early knitting attempts/experiments turned into a wristband that we put over her face.  I'll have to make her a bowtie, cuz after all, she *is* a tuxedo cat.

If I tried to to that to my other cat, Solvie, I'd end up in the emergency room for stitches.

OMG!! That's so freaking adorable!!!!!!

If only my boyfriend would let me make his kitties neckties... he's got a bunch of farmcats, would be easy to tell them all apart, with names and everything Smiley The garage kittie could use a cardigan and a tie to make her look pretty... dressing up cats is so damn cute.

Kelstar, Your kitty is adorable.  I love his smooshed in little Persian nose.  I don't think my cat would appreciate a tie, but I might make him wear one anyway.  He's a tuxedo cat so he always looks like he's dressed up!

Thanks for the tutorial.

I think your cat looks like he just KNOWS how dapper he looks in those ties. He's feelin' handsome.

If I treid that on my gang of marauders, they'd team up and kill me in my sleep.

OH MY GOD...My kitten would LOVE a little pink collar.  She is such a princess she loves being brushed, coiffed, haircuts, the whole shebang.

I need a way to make her a sparkly little collar that ties on.

Your kitty looks so cute in his tie.
I wouldn't try that with my cats,  I'd probably lose a hand.
