Thanks everyone!

I wanted to learn as much as I could from this little guy, so I played around with different amounts of strands and as many different types of stitches that I could squeeze in.  The main outline is split stitch, the yellow is french knots, and the wings are stem stitch.

Oh, that's really cute!  I like those patterns a lot.  I especially like the field of French knots in yellow.  It looks very nice.
