This gorgeous blanket took me SOO long to make, I came to dread it!  Though now that it's complete I do like it.  The blanket is comprised of 52 hexagons that are sewn together in rows, then the rows are sewn to form the blanket.  Needless to say there were a million ends to weave in!!  Each hexaon probably took me 25 minutes to do, so it's a lot of (wo)man hours for a small blanket.  It was supposed to be for a friends baby when she was born .... however she's NINE months old now, so it'll just be a present for the heck of it.  I do hope she likes it!  Oh and the last photo is my sone "modeling" the blanket for extra cuteness (he sleeps with his bottom in the air Smiley)!

thanks! the pattern is from the Leisure Arts "Our Best Baby Afghans" book, i got it on amazon.  I can't remeber what the yarn was.  Just a basic baby soft sport wieght from zellers.
